no pics as of yet caz my buddy still can't learn to drive stick, he stalls it, or peals out from the stop, and when he shifts gears he looks at the shifter and still ends up in 4th insted of 2nd

i did get to do a compression test on the car, and got 120, 120, 115, and 120. now keep in ming this b18b1 LS got 233 000 miles on it.

      is that healthy compression?

If hes keeping the car, then put a new engine in it. I dont know why he would buy it if he wasnt gonna keep it in the first place

the car is only to get around for 1 year while he is in school in NY, when he leaves for LA he will ether sell it to me, or part it out and junk it. I don't want this teg caz it's too far gone, but I'm considering geting the engine to swap in to a Honda shell I will be geting next year to build as a track toy. I would ofcourse rebuild the b18b1 from the ground up to handle 15 psi

yeah, if you rebuild it and resurface the head, then it will be good to go, but will be be cheaper and easier to swap it out I think

If you get a honda shell and plan on building the motor for it just go for a K20 swap. It is worth every penny. With a properly built K20 you wont even need boost lol.

k20 is way to expansive, i have my heart set on b18 with 15psi

Check out some JDM H23 DOHC Prelude swaps, they're pretty quick. A fully built k20 ready to drop in shouldn't cost more than 4500 bucks. If you're looking for a serious track car. If you just ordered the block and built it all yourself you could have a pretty sick motor for about half that.
