      2006 cruise control

      i remember someone on this forum installed cruise control on a 2006 aveo, i know it can only be done on the 2006 but i cant find the thread....can someone tell me what the part numbers are and where i have to connect the wires to?

      I thought cruise control was available from the factory for '06's I need it for an '04

      You can get it, but the member that he is talking about made some cheap but functional home made unit that worked with the electronic throttle and will not work for those of us that have a cable.

      No, I remember it wasn't home made... it was the OEM electronic cruise system which electronically is just plug and play because of the fly-by-wire... he just couldn't route it properly through the steering wheel cuz of the weird rotation mechanism, and had to mount it somewhere else. It was on the old board, I'll try to have a look-see if I have a chance.

      Shoot I need it for my 05 because my parents live way out, and I often travel to Michigan and the Southwest states (Arizona, Neveda, New Mexico, Texas) Yeah after about 10 hours my foot starts to hurt...

      i think this mod only works on 2006 and up that are drive by wire. not the mechanical throttle.

      That's why I said I need cruise. I bet there is a way to do something similar on the wire

      Nice, funny thing is I'm going to Michigan at the end of July. Maybe I can just pick it up while I'm there so I don't have to pay shipping! lol
