      New 2009 Pontiac G3 sedan

Hi, I just bought a new g3 this week. It's an automatic sedan with ABS. I'm a new driver but this felt really nice to test drive. I live in Canada where we get lot of snow and temps around -40C in the winter. Driving will be about 60/40 (freeway/city).

Reading the negative reviews is making me a bit nervous. Thankfully, I went ahead and purchased the extended warranty.

Let me know if you love your sedan (or if not.)

all those reviews are written by ultra liberal honda fan boys

dont worry, you got an awesome car, the extra warranenty is a good thing for any car though i find it pointless as the only thing you will have to worry in the future is the timing belt, but the warrenty wont cover it i dotn think

      welcome to the forums

i agree. the people who reveiw aveos typically consider an audi a "daily driver bearable" car, and anything with less features than an audi is acceptable at best, when you take even more away, it it not good for that car. the aveo has no features. so it will not reveiw well.

i did notice something about the G3 today. it has a smooth license plate light cover with no holes.. (shaved badge ftw)

I'm in a rural part of central Ontario.

Sis-in-law has an '08 Aveo hatch which she's pleased with. She recommends adding good snow tires for the winter. We get a lot of lake-effect snow here.

I'm picking up my new g3 this Thursday. So excited!

I'm so happy that I found this board. Nice to meet you all. Thanks for the welcome.

I'll post pics when I get my car.

Re: New 2009 Pontiac G3 sedan

I got a few options. I wanted ABS brakes and that came with side airbags. I needed automatic. They threw in a sunroof, AC and power locks/windows as part of the package. I know there's more to go wrong now but I bought the warranty and keeping my fingers crossed. Moving up from a '99 Sunfire with no extras so I'm excited. The interior is a big part of what sold me. Still can't get over the roominess.
