Could be. I'd try the dry gas.

Did you get any codes off the system? That could help too. Do you use a ethanol fuel?
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

Around here (WV) where I live, every gas station carries gas that contains ethanol of at least 10%.

      TIP:

A rule I always live by when it comes to buying gas:

If a tanker truck is "dropping fuel" or has just finished recently, DO NOT get gas there at that time. By "dropping Fuel" I mean filling up the tanks in the ground for the gas station. One of my best friends (who has since passed away) and who used to run several truck stops/gas stations gave me this advice about 25 years ago. Since taking his advice I have only gotten bad gas about 1 or 2 times. I know they have filters on most of the pumps but I doubt the filters will catch all of the crap after it has been stirred up off the bottom of the tanks.
