First Long Trip

The wife decided we needed to go to Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Its about a 850 mile drive one way. With the Aveo loaded to the nuts and driving 75 miles an hour the whole time I still managed to average 33 mpg according to my Ultra gauge. Is this a normal average or should i be expecting more?

that sound about right to me, i drove a 6,000 mile trip from arkansas to L.A. to NYC and then back home and probably averaged about 35 or so mpg, thats with just 2 people and a little luggage

Well at least I'm in the ball park. I will normally be driving back and forth by myself on the freeway to work so I'm hoping my averages stay up there in the 30's.

Hey guys, just some info as to how mine did too. i live in western PA, (pittsburgh kinda..) we drove to upper most corner or vermont. 4 miles from canada border. i was averaging 39-44 mpg, that was loaded, crusing at 70-80 for a majority of the way. 5 speed trans also. mines a 2006 5door hatch-eroo!

around here, to work and store n stuff, i average anywhere from 30-34. Depends how i feel..lol...9 chances outta 10 i'm driving like a complete maniac...but thats just my preference. i'm safe..but i drive fast. (oxymoron?..lol)
