i used the rod and washers to and a 4x4 piece of wood to install them. side by side they look almost the same.. there is a metal sleeve in the housing that has to be cut out. i used a sawzall. the hardest part about it was getting the new bushings lined up to go in straight, but it just took a little time. all in all if i had to buy a new axle or buy those from ebay i would get those from ebay. they look like they are stronger than the old ones.

i figured a set of those or prothane would fit, just need to have access to all the measurements.

Now when I turn the wheel completely and turn at low speed, I hear an aweful sort of metallic scraping which goes away as soon as i start to turn a little less.

Brakes are due soon too so I'll have a chance to look into this some more at the same time. Have been finding some rust starting too, ugh. This sure has been frustrating.

sounds like all your suspension is wearing out at the same pace.

check the wheel bearings and cv joints.
