Regrinding the stock cams could make it into a performance cam? As in better cams?

Out of curiosity, does changing to light weight cam and/or light weight crank pulley helps in fuel comsumption?

it would make sense, less weight takes less energy to move

it has less effect than a crank shaft pulley or flywheel, the valve train turns 1/2 as fast as the crank, and it would be "like" lightening the pulley on an accessory. The real drag or friction force on the cam shafts / valve train is the opening of the valves and springs.

Late to the party, but: gettinng a lumpy lump cam is probably the best way to increase power in an N/A motor, short of boring.

Do we have any figures for the stock cams? Lift, duration, ramp?

I have changed my stock crank pulley and the 2 cam gears to lightweight ones.

      Nice!! Car does feels better.

However, there is a vibration felt when I step a little more gas at say... 2500rpm, I can feel the car vibrate before it change to the next gear at say... 3000rpm. The vibration seems to be coming from the lower front of the firewall. (just in case... my car is a right hand drive).

      Any idea why?
