K&N Filter

Does anyoneknow if adding a K&N air filter will have any noticable noise differance?

I have the drop in k & n in the airbox. there is no noticable noise difference.

you only get sould with a pipe, I put a big filter on the stock escort tube and got no sound, while it was loud on the aveo with the short ram intake

It will only get louder if you take out the airbox resonator.

ya i got a k&n and i can tell alot when i first turn on the car it sound like air coming out from a tire it s sucking so good then when i drop or gun it i cac really hear compared to a little autozone one

I am debating saving money on the K&N or going AEM.

Like the growl that my old intake systems have provided but don't want to spend the money.

So, drop the K&N in and strip the resonator?
