did you change the oil, then try removing the plugs and cranking out the water by turning it over?

      Re: flooded engine!

      NY has a good point.

So you got water in your engine. That doesn't mean the engine is done for. There is still a chance it may have not done any major damage.
Change your oil, remove the plugs and crank it over a bit. get the remaining water out.
Replace the spark plugs (with new ones) and see if she will start.

If it does start, let it idle a little bit, make sure it will keep running, if so take it around the block a couple times, and kinda get into it a little bit.

Finally, change your oil again. You may find that you didn't cause any major damage. The whole trick is not to let it sit for too terribly long with water in it, or bad things will happen.

The car could still be okay, and you have learned a lesson. Don't fret, don't stress. Relax, take it a step at a time, and you may find success.

      Re: flooded engine!

i believe gene is absolutely right tricky, step by step, dont rush, and dont try to rev all that crap out your tailpipe. just like gene said, do an oil change, remove the plugs and crank it over to force the water out, replace with new plugs, change oil again, see if you can get her running. dont rev the piss out of her, if she runs, she'll find her own way and hopefully return to normal. keep an eye on that oil to make sure you got all that water out. maybe a 3rd oil change to be sure.

make sure that you are using another car to jump your car. Make sure that other car is on too.

      r u jumping ur car?

if you want to know if your starter is bad, unbolt it, and hook it up to a car battery. that will tell you really qwik if its good or not.

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
