      Coolant hoses

What is the diameter of the coolant hoses in the 1.6L Aveo? I'm looking to add one of these: http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Water-Hose-Adapters.aspx

Probably into the one coming right out of the radiator, right? Are they all different diameters?

well i was just checking, there are a few places you could put one depending on what temp you wanted to read.
the radiator is outside of the thermostat. so it might not be completely accurate unless the thermostat is open.

have you thought about a Y or T fitting on the stock sensor? (guessing here but its probably on the thermostat housing)

Nah, a T-fitting won't work because the fluid won't flow around the probe. I really just want to know the inside diameter of the radiator hose so I can slip a splicer in there. All Data doesn't have that.

Sorry I don't know the ID but if you buy one of those make sure you pitch those ****ty hose clamps and put in the type with the lock nut and bolt through the top. Those clamps pictured from the site cost me alot of money and frost bite when one came loose on the inline coolant heater I had on a car of mine years ago, I had no idea it had fallen off and emptied my cooling system onto the highway until the idiot light came on, warped the head and blew the motor!. Almost missed a Tragically Hip show that night because of it.

Your missin' out it you haven't heard the Hip.

The upper hose is 1 1/4". Perfecto.
