Ill pull the sensor out to check the wires and everything, Whats the easiest way to test it. Whats the ohms rating etc.

2005 Aveo - I have a similar problem. Just had to replace my engine due to timing belt failure on the freeway! Driving around town yesterday and lost power. Car immediately smelled like gas and after checking noticed a drip in the middle of the engine. Can't determine source? Car tries to start but won't turnover. Any ideas on cause and solution?

almost sounds like you could be out of time somehow. if your compression is good and the coils & rotor check oiut id pull the timing cover and check the marks too.
