OEM Vs After Market Parts ?

I have only had my 08' Aveo a few months but I have had nothing but problems with after-market parts. First it was a new radiator, then a thermostat, water pump, and idler pulley for the timing belt. All were intially replaced with after-market parts from Napa and Oreilly, and needed to be replaced with OEM parts shortly thereafter because of failure/excessive noise.

When I went to replace the struts and shocks the aftermarket only had sensatrak. This stuff is garbage. Completely ruins the factory ride of the car. Only the dealer could provide OEM parts.

You can get Kyb shocks

While you can get KYB struts and shocks, I was afraid with no experience except that they were a performance product, that they would also change the ride. Will they? Also put on the "best" ceramic front brake pads and was greeted with a constant screaming from them. Asked the parts guy at my Chevy dealer about this and he said the compound was wrong for the car. Used Chevy brakes and voila the sound was gone.
