shifter light

recently my shifter light went out, all the other dash lights work how do i get to the light i9n the shifter, to replace the light?

i just purchased the car

you need to remove the plastic console that houses the shifter. underneath there is a small pilot lamp that needs to be wired back into the harness by the shifter
