2004 auto shifter light dead

Hey guys. My shifter light just cut out on my. What are some of the things i should check out to fix it?

Start with the bulb. I wish mine would stop working, its so annoying.

but i can't see how ia m shifted at night. which is when i drive the most. how is the best way to check the bulb?

Should just be able to take the panel off where the gears light up and it should be under there. I have a 5sp but on my old cars it was like that. I couldnt imagine it would be to hard. You shouldnt need to see its 3 down for drive and 2 up for reverse 1 more up park to easy.

Ohhhh. I thought you meant the shift arrow on the dash. Disregard my post then lol
