Can't get after market stereo to turn on

i have a sony xplod aftermarket stereo and bought a wiring harness for my 2006 chevy aveo sedan. I butt spliced all the matching color from my sony to my harness, but when I plug it into the stereo harness on the car I get no power. I have put the stock stereo back on and it still works fine. I can't figure out why it won't power up, can anyone help me out?

Did you hook up a constant power to the Sony? Also...if the power lead (typically red) for the Sony has a fuse in it check to be sure the fuse is good and the fuse connections are good. Also, make sure you have a ground wire connected.

Make sure you have the red to the switched power, the yellow to constiant 12v, and the black to ground. Also on the back of the Sony deck's their is a fuse,make sure you check that out also
