      Buying a new car.

I have an Aveo 2004 I think today is 10 years to the day that i got it. I don't want to get a new one because I like my car and it's working great for now. It has close to 150.000 miles on it the radio has not worked for years other than that it works well. Questions Is a new Aveo Hatchback a problem car? What can I get approx for my old car trade in?
      Not sure what to do.

Trade in on most 04's would not be much, maybe it would cover the taxes on the new car if you are lucky

Might as well keep it and hope you do not run into too many issues. It just depends on if you need/want a new car, etc.

My wife has the Sonic hatchback(updated Aveo) and absolutely loves it. She says its the Aveo taken to its next evolutionary level. It has the 1.8L but you can get it with the 1.4L turbo like I have in my Cruze.
Missing our beloved 1st gen Aveos everyday!
Silence is golden. Duct tape is silver!!
04 Aveo (mine gone but never forgotten)

I've got a brand new Sonic LT Sedan with the 1.8L as a rental while my Silverado has warranty work done right now. There's no doubt it's an Aveo descendant. Interior is a little quieter. A little more modern/sporty interior. Drives alot like my 2010. The MYLink is nice, but not a whole lot a nice double DIN unit can't replicate pretty easily. Overall I think it's a nice little car. I'd definitely consider one as my commuter/daily driver.

I just realized how dereailed this is getting... to the OP, just treat yourself to a new stereo and drive it. Make sure the timing belt, etc is changed on schedule and go. You're not going to get a whole lot for it. It really depends on how much you drive, how much you can afford (and be comfortable), and where you are in your life.

Buy a new radio and use the Aveo until it dies. I honestly cant see you getting anything over $1,500 in a private party transaction or $1000 in a dealer trade-in. I recently paid $2500 for a 2005 Aveo LT sedan, 96k miles, with a freshly rebuilt head and timing belt job in CT. 90% of people looking to get a cheap, used car probably never heard of a Chevy Aveo either.

I bought a 2014 sonic and even though it's only one day old I love it. I am glad this car replaced the Aveo.
