Would you consider buying a Chevy Spark?

Just curious if anyone here has been following the development of the car that will supposedly slot beneath the Aveo as GM's new entry level car, the Spark:

It's smaller than the current Aveo. Probably won't be any less expensive though (since the next Aveo will go up in price).

Would you have considered this car?

      EDIT... Found a vid:

Hey - just noticed the Spark has the same "motorcycle inspired" instrument cluster as the next gen Aveo and Aveo RS show car, plus the "hidden" rear door handle in the C pillar.

i am going to check it out, leave impressions to actual experience, not what others think.

but i most likely wont be buying either, it would be cheaper to keep my current aveo.

I figured since price is one of the Aveo's biggest draws, the Spark is what many people who currently go for the Aveo will buy instead when it comes out.

I like little cars - I'd like to try one for sure.

(But cheaper to stick with my current car as well - probably wouldn't buy one.)

its actually more enticing because "base" is still supposed to be under $10k... probably $9999.99 but than is $1300? cheaper than the 09 aveo, not sure if the 10 aveo went up any..

but until production, thats speculation based off other country price comparisons..

Makes you wonder what a discounted Spark will go for then.

GM's been advertising base Aveos in Canada at $9995 on and off for a couple of years. It's not technically the regular base price, but they do promote it once in a while. Though I think you only get that deal if you pay cash and own another GM car already.

Good point hunter - if all people want is a cheap transportation pod, they'll buy the Spark. If they want something to play with, they'll go for something else (unless they're willing to make their own stuff).

From what I've seen the Aveo has a decent amount of parts. They just aren't made by the thousand (like civic parts) so they cost a normal amount of money.

The Spark looks like an interesting little car. I'd look at it, but only really consider if it got great mileage. Its really just a commuter car.

ehhh... in the european market they have 1 and 1.2 liter engines, i wonder what they'd put in a north american market spark? maybe a 1.4 liter? honestly it looks a bit too small for my taste. one thing i like about the aveo is how roomy it is considering the small size of the car. feels a lot bigger than say, an accent
