      Pcm

Started 06 aveo to go to work, idled for a few secs, died, wouldn't start. Let sit a few mins. same thing. It starts now and then for few secs, dies. Showed code, forgot numbers, for pcm failure of some kind. Called around, finally got advised gm had to fix. Spoke w/service manager, sure enough code I gave him, he advised pcm failure, if pcm needed replaced, gm warr. 8 yr, 80,000 mile warr. Thought everything was good to go, they had car for a week, found out supposedly just loose conn. They greased conn. blah blah, , they tested it for a few days, started and idled fine. I took it home, everything seemed good, next day, did same thing as the day it died on me. So I guess my question is, anybody know where I can find pcm connections to try to fix myself? I assume to disconnect batt., however if I don't, maybe I'll fry something, at this point I really don't care. lol But if anyone can help me, it will b greatly appreciated. Thanx!

So I found code for my pcm, P0604, like I advised, dealership said loose connection (s). I'm trying to find on net bout where pcm connection is so I can check things myself. I keep finding o2 sensor fix by lightly tapping it. I can't find n e info. about where connections are for pcm. I'll try to find all elect. connections I guess and start pulling wires. If anyone can help, please do. Thanx again!

Take it back to the dealer that ”fixed” it.

ECM or PCM (computer) is located by the battery. Many pins in those connectors. Could be wiring harness, could be computer itself.

Suggest you replace your O2 sensor if is intermittant and you have to tap it. Not too expensive O2 sensors.

If you need to replace Computer I would try Auto Wrecker if it's not covered by GM.

      Goodluck
