      Need some help...

2004 chevy aveo. Having trouble changing the wheel bearing. I need to find out how to remove the hub to get to the wheel bearing. is there a way to get it out without using special pullers? any assistance would be appreciated. thank you.

I just went through this crap. I mean crap. It's difficult. Here are the steps.

      1) remove the knuckle
      a) break the 32 mm wheel nut while the car is on the ground. You will need a the BIG-ASS cheater bar. On mine I will pushing well over 200 foot pounds before it broke. I used a torque wench set that high.
      b) remove the bolt at the bottom of the knuckle and the steering arm
      c) use a wheel puller and you can pull the knuckle off the drive shaft
      d) remove the connection to the strut
      e) I did not mention the brake stuff, that's pretty obvious

      2) remove the plate from the knuckle
      3) use the fancy puller OR go to a press and remove the hub from the bearing. It's smaller diameter than the bearing
      4) remove the snap ring that retains the bearing
      5) press out the bearing. My recommendation is a hydrolic press OR take it to a shop
      6) replace the bearing using said press.
