Can lower control arm bushings be bought?

Can you get lower control arm bushings for the aveo or do you have the buy the whole arm? My front, lower right bushing is looking to be in bad shape.

you can, but the whole arm is only a few dollars more and allow you to skip the process of pressing the bushings out.

Is the front bolt on the lower control arm threaded into the subframe? Cause it's just spinning around and not comming out and I can't see the end of the bolt where a nut would go. They were'nt silly enough to tack weld a nut inside the subframe were they? cause I don't wannt have to cut into it......

i found (if it is available to you) that drilling a hole straight down out of the bottom that about 3/8-1/2" (10-13mm) in diameter. The welding the nut back and filling the hole. it will never bust lose again..

On my 06 Wave, they replaced the sub-assembly on warranty when one of the bushings went on the driver side control arm. I'm sure they could have fixed it without replacing the whole thing though.

I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
