alarm issues

my 06 LT has been working fine then today the alarm stops working i have to open the doors with the key and lock them the same way the light on the keys transponder is working so i assune it is an issue with the car so when i lock it up i cant set the alarm and there is a strange noise coming from under the dash kind if a whining sound thet repears over and over very quickly only when the key is off and removed from the car it did rain last night bit that had never been an issue in the past

apparently it was a transient issue wafter posting this went out and everything worked fine
