      Re-program the alarm in a '04 - goes off on its own!!!



      04 Aveo's alarm is going off on its own! How the frig do I fix this!!??!!!

      Hood pin switch is probably broken. Right close to the latch, you'll see a switch, the same one that is on the doors. Check it, I bet the terminals are corroded and the switch is defective. Simple fix. There is actually a TSB for that. Don't know if it's covered or not. Go to dealership.

      mine does it to every once in a while. i just let it run its course lol.
      You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

      Took one swich, part number 965404548 and two terminals (7116-1473) don't know if they're gm part number or not, must be a really old one if it is.
