      Son of a b*tch

I was driving home today. I work the overnight shift and the rive home was normal. The roads felt fine, didn't feel slippery at all. I took a turn that I've made a thousand times before. It didn't look slick at all, and mid turn the car started to slide. Before I knew it, I was screwed. I bumped into a ****ing curb and now the driver side front tire is touching the back of the fenderwell.

When the tow truck driver was pulling it up onto the flatbed, the wheel was locked. It would not budge. Man was I pissed, still sort of am. I'm not upset about the car being damaged, I was pissed that I lost control of it.

Hindsight being 20/20 I forgot to get any pictures before the tow truck drove away. I'll bring my camera to the dealership when I go there to find out what can be done about my car.

My neck is a little sore, but doesn't feel that bad. If it is sore tomorrow, I'll go have it looked at. My passenger was unhurt which is good.

probably bent the lower control arm, I did this once in an old car I had, easy fix (for that car), fixed it myself.
Hope it all turns out well at the dealership.

If you can, maybe fix it yourself, as long as theres no subframe damage. It might be just some R&R of parts you can change with an average set of hand tools.

      Just my two cents.

I hate Sundays, still haven't been able to get my car looked at. Going to make a couple calls today to find out what's up.

Mike, yes I was wearing my seatbelt, alwas do.

Clint, sounds likely, I couldn't get a good look under the car but it wouldn't surprise me. I would love to fix it myself. I miss being able to turn a wrench on my car, but I have no where to work or it and I'd rather the dealership work on it. If anything goes wrong, it's on their hands.

      I'll keep everyone updated.

It's been over a week and my insurance company just called me. They needed to confirm my name prior to looking at my car. I guess Ryan was too hard to spell.

So they should be getting around to my car today or tomorrow. I can't want to get my car back. I haven't been behind the wheel for a week. It's the longest I have been without my Aveo.

      I'll keep everyone posted.
