      Ok...

Ive come to have enough of this on this website.
Everyone needs to STOP complaining about prices.
For those of you who do not realize this. We drive cars that do not have ANY real aftermarket base. There is also no really following for people to jump on board to make aftermaket parts.
This makes it hard to actually find parts for a good price.
So all of you people complaining about LED lights for 200 bucks being too much. You need to get a clue.
And turbo kits, they are going to be expensive...you want a good turbo. be willing to spend over 200 bucks for a new turbo.
if you want a good BOV its not going to be cheap.
Tuning....again not cheap...especially if your using a complete megasquirt system.

Im just sick of people being so freaking cheap. If you bought this car to mod it and expected it to be cheap...GET A HONDA

its not going to be cheap and your going to have to deal with it.

      /rant

I would say a early 90s 5.0 would be cheaper to mod than a honda with much better results.

But for real tho, you make a good point. Try pricing out stuff like that for a normal car. I just dropped over $2g's for my turbo and manifold alone.

if you want to turbo late 90s early 2000 model cavalier the turbo kit costs 4000 dollars...you want a good turbo for a k20 its gonna cost at least 3 grand.

and hondas have always been cheap speed...buy a crx shell for like 300 bucks drop a b18 in for a grand maybe two....you can build a honda turbo kit with a decent sized turbo for 1500 and then just gut the car and your in the 12sec and faster class easy.

he can try to pick me apart all he wants...there are thousands of 10 second and faster civic built with not a lot of money and are daily driven.
Fox body stangs are not dd when they are that fast.

I dont pick everyone apart. And if you read it, I agreed with his original post.

So you know one person that hasnt had a problem. That is like saying you know of one guy that smokes 3 packs of cigarettes a day and lived till he was 100. I am going on the vast majority. And you said yourself, "if you do it cheaply, yes (it will blow)". I can gaurentee that there are maybe a handful of turbo civics out there that cost less than $8K to put together.
