      2009 Aveo Oil Sender leaking?

I have an '09 Aveo and have been getting oil drips on the ground and low pressure. I'm keeping it topped off every week or so when the light flickers, but I want to repair it before any serious damage occurs. I climbed under it, and the leaks appear to be coming from what appears to be a sender unit. Looks like it is behind the A/C compressor and will be a stone bitch to replace. Can anyone verify if it is, in fact, the oil sender? I may let the dealer handle this one if so. I can't even get a wrench around it where it's at, so it looks like the compressor will have to come off.

likely the oil pressure sender. you can buy a socket to remove if you can not fit a wrench in where it is.

How much oil are you losing? Usually when the oil warning light flickers, it's just a defective sending switch, but with no loss of oil.

If you are losing oil, it may be from somewhere else, not from the sending switch.
