Ok so a few weeks ago my 2009 sedan with 90K Miles was leaking manual transmission fluid out of the axle seal on the driver side which was repaired under warranty. I looked underneath last week to ensure no further problems with this. Now I have oil leaking from around the oil cooler. I am not enjoying all of these leaks. Luckily it has been under warranty but not for much longer. The dealer is ordering the parts for the oil cooler leak. will advise results
The care goes in monday but now I am finding what looks like oil in the coolant overflow tank as of a few days ago. I open the hood today and antifreeze has sprayed through the engine bay. coolant level down and color is back to dexcool orange
That is odd, you are having some weird leaks
Do you have a scangauge by chance?
Yes I do have a scan guage but only use for mileage what do you suggest monitoring ? I wonder if oild got into A/F at oil cooler. the dipstick looks ok. Thank you
I wanted to know what tempatures the car is running at on the highway regularly (I assume most of the miles are highway?)
yes it is mostly highway. temp on regular guage just a touchunder half and highway guessing 215 maybe but will double check
I was at 215 or so in the city here in florida, where do you live exactly? Of course though you have a second gen so I can not compare with mine. Though at 90k miles, if there has only been these two leaks then that is not too bad (of course the first was a pain to fix). Have you had anyother issues?
Massachusetts. the only other issue is the wind noise when blowing from the driver side fairly strong which I live with but otherwise good luck
I think your problem is similar at mine, and you have to change the thermostat housing...
