      valve cover gasket replacement

      Have never changed a valve cover gasket. Is it difficult? Can anyone provide a step by step for an 04 Aveo? Pics would be a big plus. Thanks.

      I dont think it is too hard, but if anything you can take it to a shop for $30-$50 and have it installed, plus the cost of the gasket

      I changed mine about 1 yr 1/2 ago. I went to Auto Value (that's in Canada) and they gave me the breakdown. If you go to Autozone I assume they'll do the same. It took me less then 2 hours to do and I took my time. Just make sure you torque everything to spec. with a torque wrench and make sure you have some gasket sealant.

      Hope this helps I don't have any pics I just have it on paper when Auto Value printed it for me. The gasket cost me $28 at GM.
