      Stripping the heating vents....

      Hey All,

I saw that Nemasys had painted his heating vents (or purchased aftermarket vents), and since the aluminum wrap on mine are starting to bubble and peel (06 Aveo) I pulled the two center vents out and started to strip them.

The aluminum tape DOES NOT come off easily at all...does anyone have any ides on how to get it off/has anyone done it before?

I stuck them in the freezer and it seemed to help a little bit...

      Any ideas are greatly appreciated

      Thanks!
      -K

P.S. the vertical adjustment knobs DO NOT come of easily AT ALL *SNAP*

*EDIT* I didn't realize that the 04 came with black vents...not aluminum wrapped...
