      BIG problem

i got a power acoustik amp(OV2-1800) its a 2 channel and i wired it up to 2 Sony Xplods from crutchfield and it just wont work. it has a setup on one side for the RCAs and it has channel 1 and channel 2 inputs and outputs. the channel 1s are lined up across the top and channel 2 is lined up across the bottom. when i cut the car on nothing happens. i can pull the rcas and stick one in at a time but just a little bit and it will make like its trying to do something butr if u push it in all the way it stops. what is my problem. subs are good and its all wired right, the only thing i can figure is that i need 2 sets of RCAs for the amp to work but i aint sure on that. its a weekend and i intend on contacting power acoustik about the amp as soon as i can.

Well the noise you hear when you are about to plug it in is just the power jumping from one to the other (pass of less resistance), and once the connection is made the power flows freely.

Is the power for the amp staying on? Did you run the remote wire? Have the subs turned on in the headunit?

Just throwing some ideas out, I'm shooting in the dark right now, you are being very vague as to how it is wired up. Please list your install in detail and I can better assist you.

check ur ground, ur inline fuse(i assume u are using one), make sure u are using a large enough wire to pull the power thru to the amp. kinda sounds like some issues i had with my amp.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
