2009 aveo dash install questions

looking at picking up a new alpine headunit. any comments on how to remove the trim would be appreciated. also what about the wiring harness and install kit.. seems to just be a regular double din opening

the 2007 trim has a couple of clips so just pop them off, double din, easist install ever lol

Does the plastic n shape surounding the OE DD unit in the 09 just pop of or is it an 'Einstien required' job.

I have an 09 and I think it is the same as last years sedan model for the install kit. You'll need a special adapter if you wish to retain your OnStar. It's really expensive, it's called a "peripheral" and I think it's made by Stinger.

no onstar so no prob there.. the plastic seems really flimsy but i guess the U shape just pops off

Wierd, I thought all the 09's came with OnStar standard. huh, strange mines an LS and it has it. Is yours an SVM? My adapter was like almost 300 bucks I think lol.

im in canada.. wasnt standard , optional and only came with the upgraded 6 speaker stereo with xm
