      So, heres some more pics...

First I cut some of the old mounting stuff out with a Dremel, Then I made some thin wood bracket templates. Oh, and move some wiring and cables.

Then test fit the A/C relocate location. Also I'm filling the hole with a "glovebox", since I stripped out all my remaining stereo stuff after getting robbed.

And whats this? We will see...

      Re: New Interior Upgrades

      Update....
I made it so the stock trim pieces still fit in, took a little more Dremel work.

Used some chipboard (obviously from a cereal box) and created a box in similar size to the plastic box shown above. Why chipboard? Because its thinner easier to work with and with a little soak of resin it'll be pretty tough too. Also makes the final layer easier to apply.

Here's a test fit...it snaps in place perfectly. And whats on the outside face, chrome? Nope mirror Lexan really thin .040", creates a smooth clean surface.

Whats that in the back of the box?? Is it fiberglass? Its so shiny...its Silver carbon fabric!! Yup, thats the final layer thats gonna be applied to this.

And heres the door to it. I decided to add in the LS for my trim level, kinda to achieve a "factory custom" look when its finished.

The door slides away to the left when open kinda a cool idea one of my co-workers suggested.

Next, if the pocket will be silver carbon, shouldn't the whole center dash match? So I have to make a trim plate.

See how I was able to get the bi-axis curves by using strips? Now apply a little resin to this side and I can start on the front side of it.

Thats it for now... more coming when I get some more money to buy more CA glue and some epoxy resin...unless casting resin would work? I already have some of that around.
