Hi guys back with more questions from professionals on this useful site. Im wanting to purchase led tail lights from 04-08 aveo from america and fitting it onto my 09 barina(australian aveo). Im gonna purchase the 08 bumper so the rear lights will fit properly without the half circle left behind.
My question is would it just be plug and play or would i need to do some wiring since the led lights are designed for american aveo not for australian. Thanks guys

I think they should be as close to plug and play for you as they are here. I haven't had a set, but i remember some aftermarket sets require some work even in the states.
I think he's asking if anyone know if the wiring is different for the '09 compared to the 04-08.
the body side plug should be the same.
the led plugs are a little bigger but with a hammer and a 2x4 you can bang the area in where the plug goes into just a little will do if not the LED's will not sit flush with body first remove rubber seal then hold 2x4 where hole is in the body where the wires come out 3-4 wacks should do it. Test fit as you go along. Hope this helps?

The lights are totally different, if you notice, the newer style has a round part that the bumper fits around and the 04-08 are straight.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
Yeh im planing on getting an 08 rear bumper. not a fan of my 09 rear haha
