Tail-light doesn't work?

Hey,

So on my 06 Aveo5 the lights all light up, including the brake light. Whenever you press the brakes though, the drivers side doesn't get brighter like the other one does, and it looks pretty much off compared to the others.

Any ideas how to fix this? It's driving me nuts. I have an automotive shop at school to use for a resource.

Just a complete shot in the dark... I havnt looked at mine (2010 Aveo5) but the tail light bulb may be a dual filament bulb (like I said I dont know for sure). So the filament that lights up brighter when u press the brake may be blown. Might not hurt to throw a new bulb in there and see if the problem is still there.

EDIT: Just checked a parts illustration of the 06 Aveo tail lamp assembly.. looks like you have 4 bulbs... 1 turn signal bulb, 1 backup bulb and 2 tail light bulbs. Could just be a blown bulb (b'.')b

ye, also try getting some nice LED replacement bulbs! i wanna get some for mine later

Thanks for your help guys! I just want my light working again, I'm gonna try replacing the bulb probably tomorrow night. No time for it tonight, no school tomorrow, party time.

Just make sure when u pull the bulbs from the tail assembly that u double check to make sure which one is actually blown... dont wanna replace the wrong bulb if thats the problem lol =Df
