      2009 Aveo Hatchback Roof Rack

Does anyone know how much a 2009 Chevy Aveo Roof Rack would be able to hold. I don't want to overload the roof, I want to be able to put any where from 100 to 150lbs on the roof.

P.S. Anyone selling a Roof Rack!?!

Thanks, I found a Chevy dealer selling one for $199.00 40 dollars cheaper then the Chevy website has it. Any idea on how much weight the Aveo can hold up there? I called several dealers and a zoneing office. They all have no idea, any help?

      Thanks!

i have an 04 aveo with a roof rack from Thule. before you buy the chevy roof rack take a look at the thule ones, i beleive there much better and if you sell your car you can interchange the rack to a new car just by buying new "feet" as they call them.
weight wise mine can hold around 165 lbs. (75 Kg) that doesn't include the weight of the rack. (total weight capacity=weight of rack + weight of load). i usually haul 2 bikes around BMX or MTB and when i do landscaping sometimes i haul ladders on the top of it. never had any problems with it.

If you maybe ask the dealer to see the instructions for the rack it should say on them.

I looked, i paid $ 265 (USD) with tax included in that. that was for main bars, feet and the mounting brackets. the bike racks were extra. i bought it all from a small outdoor store were i live. it was a bit more than the chevy one but it was well worth it.
