      Turbo

Okay so im knew to the forum and iv honestly been looking ever since i got my aveo to put a turbo on it. Now i know its probably a good idea to swap enngines and put a 2.0 in it but i just want to do it to the 1.6. So if possible how much boost will it handle and who know what header fits the 1.6 with out any modifications. I need help so the more info the better.

it will handle as much boost as your timing and fueling allows, which with stock management isnt much.
there is no direct bolt on turbo manifold. Xiogary might have made some, but the are NLA.

Read up on turbos and fueling and how everything is related. For the cost of a turbo kit, that is done right, with the proper engine management, I imagine you could stick a 1.4t out of a cruze in there.

okay so bigger fuel injectors is needed and thats all? And what about a turbo manifold or is the one Xiogary the only one?

You'll most likely have to make a custom turbo kit. The Aveo has little to no aftermarket parts, and many shops are not familiar with it because the Aveo is mostly used for commuter duty only. You'll most likely need aftermarket programming, bigger fuel injectors, and stronger engine components depending on the boost.

Xiogary probably makes the only one for the Aveo.

If your lucky a local shop might deal with them for some pizza delivery service or something like that. That's probably the most experience your going to find in a shop for aveo's It's also a great source of parts. The shop tends to stock them for their regular customers and will usually sell some parts to you at a good price. Atleast that's been my luck.

Okay well i kno its more compicated than that iv been trying to figure out how to do this for about a year and recently iv sat down and tried to figure it out. Now i know i need the turbo the manifold and a front mount intercooler along with the piping for it. The only thing i really didnt know was the fuel and what not. Now With that aside i guess the next question is does any one know who makes bigger injectors and aftermarket programing.

There are tons of injector options and a fair amount of engine management systems. Keep reading up on stuff, you got a lot to learn yet.

if you want to turbo it and do it "factory":

      buy off a vxr corsa:

manifold, turbo, down pipe/cat, intake (not reeded entirely), maf, injectors, and computer.

then go get a head space made to match the oem compression ratio of the vxr.

spend a little extra before it get shipped and have the ecu flashed before hand.

with current exchange rates this could cost as little $2000.

i can tell your still "new" to turbos being you think the intercooler is absolutely necessary. you only need to go to an intercooler once you have heat soaked air getting to the throttle body. which does occur quickly, but if your only running a few lbs of boost, and are not tuned, the intercooler is almost overkill. I have seen plenty of non intercooler set ups work very well.
