    Thread: Top Speed?

I got 112. And ditto on bigger meats, a lot more stable at higher speeds with a bigger footprint. Interesting to know the car doesn't need a governor to keep the speed down, I didn't realize that.

I dont think an air dam would help much. It's allowing less air under the car which is good, but making the front end bigger. If you wanna do some work, flatten out the entire bottom of the car...I think that'd make a pretty big difference. Also your car should squat down allot more at speeds since the air under the car would be "lighter".

I've done lots of research about air dams and that sorta stuff but haven't seen any info on it regarding top speed, just stability at speed and cornering.

flattening out the bottom of the car would also help some of us who drive in the winter from allowin as much salt to get up under our cars. i cringe everytime i hear salt kickin up and hittin my car.

Maybe I was on crack or something but I distincly remember taking my aveo to about 120 or 121, no signs of limiting and the car felt extremely stable. I was extremely surprised. It was on flat ground too.

I had the speedo buried and had about 1500rpm left, but it just wouldn't red line. It felt pretty stable. When it was stock that thing felt like it was going to roll and kill me at 90mph. I feel that wheels suspension and the spoiler made a world of difference. I know you guys make fun of my spoiler but when im doing 80+mph it make a world of difference.

      What altitude did you reach?
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
