      Power options?

I just recently bought a 2010 Aveo5 LT and I'm wondering something to do with the lack of power under the hood.

Are there any air filters I can put in to boost hp?

And is there anything else I can do to boost hp? (Without putting in like NOS and fast n furious **** in it.)

Pretty much any vehicle made can have a CAI or SRI installed and for cheap. As for HP boosts, there are lots of things you can do. Unfortunately much of that you will have to make on your own at this point.

If you browse the forum here you will find plenty of information on what is available, also check out the garage feature to see what others have done with their cars.

Please in the future use the search feature.

I will think of a better signature later.

      You can trade it in..........

You chose the wrong car if you want to be fast. Your Aveo would barley hang with my twin cam Saturn.

No hater... but Aveo's are not fast and basic mods like an air filter like op asked, is a joke. Need a turbo build!

actually, you can physically feel the difference of a cai and elimination of the suitcase muffler..

this isnt a gto where the factory already put performance parts on..

........... wow like I get it, but its still not "fast" not even quick or peppy with basics. And I'm not even comparing the GTO, I'm talking my 01 SL2 with 130xxx miles.

I'm not trying to start bs, but I need my eyes opened. I'm here to see whats up and if I had any issues I prefer coming to a forum first. Which is why I joined up.

I would personally say a "quick" car is running at least 14's maybe even 15's in a 1/4. An Aveo would be in the 18+ range and it's not easy to drop 3 or 4 seconds, but with $$ you can do anything

And a ? for you Nemasys, what do you expect to put down at the wheels and run in a 1/4? I personally think it's an awesome build and I will follow it for sure!
