Need morepower.....

I just started fixing up my 04aveo and am wanting to improve the power,horsepower in it....any suggestions on where i start?

CAI, exhaust, ignition wires, plugs, turbo, cams, short shifter (if you have a manual), carbon fiber body peices, good rubbers, you know the usual stuff.

gotta love it, one of the only aveo forums and one of the first things we recommend is trading it in.....what kind of hp are you looking for....if you looking for something mild id just look into high compression pistons like 10.5:1, cams, intake, and exhaust....the pistons will likely have to be custom made unless you can find a set from the 1.6L overseas. theres a thread on the cams. intake will be cheapest if you go custom or you can buy the aem if your into brand names. exahust will be all custom...id say that would make it feel like its hauling better.

The header I have designed broadens the powerband, peaks it out a little bit too.

The easiest/cheapest method is to lighten the car, lower the car, stiffen the car. This will effectively give you a great base to work with!

To all the true engineheads around here (im more the audio/video guy) what else is there to do for an aveo that would make a decent improvement in hp, ive already got the cai, spark plugs and wires, and the header / exhaust will be done in a couple weeks & im going to have them do cams as well if there arent any available by that time. what am i missing?
