Seems a bit (okay, make that a LOT) pricey. Maybe not for AEM, but I've always thought there intakes were overpriced.

im sold on the fact that its a one piece intake. im not sold on the fact that we get oceans of rain at a time in the summer. too bad for me, and AEM.

Yeah to make my on here in Canada, the APC CRX intake is 140 CAD +tax. Add silicone hose and reducer, sealant...the time to make it (I'm pretty lazy) It comes out pretty close to 200$, with exchange and shipping would come close to 260, but it's probably worth it in my opinion. Don't have to go through the hassle of making it fit.

Well its one big step forward for a big company to realease a product like this, even if it is overpriced alot, i think i will get one just to show they can sell.

I share the same feeling Nem. I don't think it rains hard enough to cause any problems. How often is your front end submerged? LOL

Hell, ive had my CAI that Sam made for me go thru 1 summer, 1 winter and starting summer again, never had water in there and i did hit puddles that were pretty deep, its pretty well protected inside the fender well, the filter might get a bit wet but not enough to soak the engine with water.
