      motor swaps anyone?

i've spent some time going through the forum and i haven't really seen anyone with a motor swap, a couple with the C20GET but not with the 2.0 or 2.2 DOHC (Forenza,Reno, Nubira, Leganza...), have you guys decided that it not a good idea?there is more then enough room in the engine compartment.

Audacity and are are planning on fludding the market with parts here shortly but almost everything i've done has been for the "big blocks". is there anything inperticular that you guys would be willing to pay for?

just a quick brake down of what Audacity and i are getting ready to offer for the 1.6 DOHC...
•Phenolic intake flanges (thermal heat shields)
•Header flanges in mild and stanless
      •intake flanges
      •throttle body flanges

if there are any topics that cover any of these questions please point me in the right direction

the main reason i have kept straying away from engine swaps is it is my daily driver and from what ive seen with other swaps in the daewoos it takes some time to figure everything out and considering that no one has swapped the 2.0 or anything into the aveo before no one knows exactly how it will work.

question for you tho...those pieces you are making...im planning on doing a supercharger set up on mine...can i use that for mine or are those something for just the stock motor.

goog answers... so the search begins for an Aveo in Southern Colorado that wants to do the first swap

yes all these parts are for use on N/A, Turbo or even SC builds. if there is a good amount of interest then i will post pics of the parts available for the big blocks to show what could be available for the 1.6 DOHC and like motors.

well the company im working with wants to sell headers they are making a short and long header to sell. not sure on price cuz it would be made at the time for whoever wants it.

ill need a newly designed strut bar i think for when i have my SC kit on it. but im not positive on that just yet.

Might have to snag some of those Intake and Exhaust flanges off you once we start on our manifolds and headers...

As for a motor swap, you might want to look in the Optra's 2.0L, if I remember reading correctly on daewootech, they use the same mounts... all you'd need is the engine and ecu. Since they use the same acessories, you wouldn't loose cruise control, AC and all that stuff with the engine swap. Someone from Daewootech would know better.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
