      I just bought an aveo- interested in beefing it up a little

      hey everyone i just bought a 2005 aveo hatchback lt 5 speed and am very interested in tuning it up a little, i just wanted to introduce my self tho , my names josh and any help is greatly appreciated .

      i guess my first question is , is it possible to drop a cobalt engine in the aveo, i heard of one person doing it but am not sure how much **** the man is talking ??

      search around the forum a bit...you can drop it in there but it wont run...it would be tons of money to do that and if you had that kind of money you could just buy a new cobalt ss/sc

      yeah a whole lotta ****, ive thought about dropping the 2.2 ecotec, which is my favorite 4 cyl, but it would take alot of dough, im gonna wait till im done with college and the aveo is gonna be the project fun car.

      i did research on dropping the 2.0 supercharged in there....and it would work but you would have to upgrade EVERYTHING in your car...and switch out the cpus and make sure the engine is mounted like hell.

      kk thanks so in that case, i should probably just beef up the engine i have ??
      what kinda of stuff can i do ? is there alot out there to do to it ? i want it to be able to movei dont need like 400 hp tho

      You can also swap in the Suzuki Forenza 2.0L engine, talk to AudacityRacing about details. It can be boosted and built for some decent good power.

      yea if you want more power, id go 2.0L swap from a forenza, same engine family

      You bought the wrong car to tune. Take it from me. I've owned an Aveo from day one they were introduced. They are not tuner cars, Yeah you can do stuff to them but it will be expensive.
