yeah too much of a boost and you'll need to mess with fuel management.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

pretty confident you ALWAYS have to worry about fuel management...

just boost low because of relatively crappy kdm tyte engine internals, tranny, etc

Agreed. Fuel will be an issue even at 4-6 psi. That's why finding a good way for us to tune is talked about so much on these boards. Adding more air (the job of a turbo) isn't much use if you're not going to push in the additional fuel that the increase in air allows you to use.

Yeah but won't the ecu detect the engine running lean and rich it out by itself at such a low boost? or will it just change the timing if it detonates to fast?

Someone claims to have wired up the safc-II, yes. I'm considering buying a used one (or even the older safc) and giving it a shot. Apexi only has wiring diagrams for import cars though (at least as far as I've found) so figuring out what wires go where on our ecu might be interesting.

i know people have used the safc, and greddy emanage. i dont think anyone has been able to adjust enugh with these products. also that aveo from columbia that is turbod is using haltech f10x to tune and his seems to work great.

the only option in my mind, which is what im going to do is use SMT-6 with a fifth injecter to compensate fuel. this is how it is done on the cobalts turbo kit..
