      HELP!!Intake Manifold question

Hiya, i'm curious has anyone pulled and installed a intake manifold on an aveo (mine is 2006) What are your tricks in pulling it off and putting it back on? I looked at the bolts the bottom are easy but how about the top? they look hard to get at without univeral joints and extensions. How do i get a torque wrench on the top bolts Thank you for any info

you need extensions, etc. to do it. You can use a torque wrench with an extension, but (forget exactly) add 5 lbs per liner foot?

Ok on the top intake manifold bolts is there a way to get at them without a universal joint? i see them and it looks like no room to get at them without using a universal joint?

I'm pretty sure I removed and install all the bolts for the intake manifold from the bottom of the car. I think I only used extensions to get to them. There is only one or two that are a real pain to get to, and they are a big pain.

i dont have your engine to tell you exactly how to do it step by step, but 99.9% of the time there is a direct route cast into the manifold. Just finding it and getting to it easily are hard.

ok, I looked the manifold over and over and just found another way. removing the fuel rail and the bolts can be access from the top. Now doing that would i have to replace bottom fuel injector grommets? or could they be re-used?

I do know that the bolt torque is 18 ft lbs and got the tightening sequence diagram for this car. Gee sometimes i really hate this car 5 yrs old 90k miles and worked on it more than my 96 sentra with 220k miles what gives?

      Thanx ahead of time
