Disconnect the battery for a little while and then reconnect it, that resets some things, maybe that may help. I wonder where the sensor is located?

Hi ... My Aveo 06 have a same problem. External temperature sensor only shows three dashes (---). But digital AC only works when, occasionally showing any exterior temperature. I tried resetting by removing the battery terminals, but there is always the same problem. Does anyone know where is the outside temperature sensor for Aveo 1.4 LT? Thanks ...

A little late here, but removing the sensor and cleaning the contacts might solve the problem. The outside temp is determined by the varying resistance of a thermistor mounted behind the front bumper. Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to get to it without removing the front bumper cover on the 09...don't know about access on the 06.

i was aware of that one, just not how he was "seeing" the temperature.
i was thinking he has some optional display that showed "outside" temperature, and that might be the issue.

if that is the case, the 104, is hot because it is road heat and engine heat.. (this is the heat soak problem we all talk about with the short ram intake)..
