Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the positive feedback.
To answer exist3nce comment, I am not a machinist or a fabricator by trade but I am a tech geek I have been working the tech field for over 22 years. All of the fabrication has been done by me with basic tools, I use a jigsaw to cut out all of my part from sheet steel and a grinder for shaping and a drill press. All of the welding has been done with a 110V gas mig welder just to should what a little ingenuity and perseverance will get you. The next thing I have to work on is the relocation of the throttle body. The throttle body has to be move out about 5 inches to clear the power steering pump that is being driven by one of the cams I will post pics once that is completed, I have all of the wiring sorted out and this is really getting close to being completed.

Got the car started today it fired right up after just a few cranks, I did not let it run too long because I have not finished the cooling system. I tried to fire it up a short time later and I ran into a problem, it did not want to fire up at all. I found that to be very strange so I started to see what the problem might be. I knew that it was getting fuel so I went on to see if I was getting spark, so I pulled off one of the coils and did not see any spark. I got out my OTC scanner and it had a code for the cam sensor so I put my scanner in data mode and cranked the engine and did not see any pulses form the cam sensor.

I next pulled off the sensor housing and what I found was the shaft had broken off, I think that this happened because of a dry start-up. This was a new housing that I had put in because the one that the engine came with was damaged during shipping and it had to be replaced. This housing has a oil feed and return so I guess that it must of seized because of no lubrication lesson learned. When I put in the next one I will make sure that I pre-oil the housing before I put in service pics are below of the damaged housing.

I have not given any updates because I have been busy with work, but this is what I have done to date. I have finished fabing up the adapters to tie the engine up to the chassis. These adapter will allow me to used the factory engine mounts for the Aveo combined with the transmission mounts from the Cobalt. I have used a aftermarket performance trans mount from torque solutions as you can see in the pics below I have come up with a mounting system to work with these mounts.

I also fabricated some adapters to allow me to use the Aveo Oem engine mounts to hang the engine, all these parts work very well and they can all be unbolted if any service need to be performed.

I also was able to take the OEM engine mounts and convert them to urethane filled units, no hack job here they came out professional grade. Next and final part is going to have a custom radiator made up, I have been procrastinating with this part. The car will defiantly be ready for the summer.

An engine mount from a Verano might work....it's built on the cruze platform, but has a 2.4 ecotec in it.
