clutch pedal starting to move up very slowly

my 2010 aveo 5 clutch pedal is starting to stick again. it did this in the early spring this year and i noticed a grease zerk on the master so i tried to grease it and it felt like the zerk was plugged so i unscrewed it and gave the hole a shot of air from my air gun. i don't think the clutch is worn (85k) because it shifts so smooth and i know how to drive a stick shift car. i am enclosing a pic of the zerk on the master cylinder. i really don't know what the grease zerk is for so i hesitate messing with it much. couple years after i bought it i read about a zerk on the master cylinder so i shot a couple shots of grease in it for good measure. grease went in pretty good back then. i bought this new and has been one of the most trouble cars i have ever had. by the way when it would not take grease the zerk was not plugged. it must have been plugged on down the line. i guess what my question is, what does the grease fitting on the master cylinder do? enclosed is a photo of the fitting. thanks DennyName: IMG_0181.jpg

      clutch pedal

thanks for the reply rabbit. my retired mechanic friend stopped over this morning and told me this is a bleeder not a grease zerk. don't know what else to check on why the pedal is slow to return so it looks like a trip to the shop.

it is only the return spring, or clutch pressure. Might be the system needs bled?

Did you try flushing and bleeding the clutch fluid at the slave cylinder?
