Taking an engine out isn't overly difficult. However, I can pretty much garuentee that you aren't going to find a step by step tutorial on how to do it.
In general you must:
drain all fluids (coolant, oil, trans fluid)
disconnect all wiring connectors and chassis grounds
disconnect throttle cable
disconnect shifting cables
disconnect coolant hoses to radiator and heater core
unbolt power steering pump from engine
unbolt a/c compressor from engine
pull the drive shafts out of the transmission
support engine
unbolt engine mounts and pull/drop the engine out
What happened to it? Do you have a replacement, or are you rebuilding?
Started taking engine apart. Here are some pics of the nice hole in the block.
What engine did u put in or how did you repair that because that also happened to my 2005 Aveo ?
