      10w30 oil

      any one use 10w30 oil engine in there aveo? i know if says 5w30 in the manual but if you read further it says you can use 10w30 if the temperature isnt below a certain degree and you dont have 5w30....asking because i grabbed the wrong oil awhile back and didnt notice til now and dont feel like wasting money on getting new stuff when the manual says i can use wat i have

      You can use 10w30, especially in the summer when it gets pretty hot. Won't hurt it a bit.
      I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

      chevy put 10w30 in my car after 15k miles the vavle gasket went. i never used 10w30 in this car again.

      accidentally got 10w30 durablend...too lazy to double check. didn't effect it at all... now running 5w30 straight synthetic

      I've been using 10w30 in the summer and 5w30 in the winter... no problems
      Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

      I'm also running 10w30 during the summer and 5w30 in winter without issues. Considering using all synthetic in both the trans and motor, but with regular changes I've been told using synthetic shouldn't matter.
