      Aveo Crash Sensor

Hi, I new to this forum, but a longtime reader though.

      I'm from Venezuela and I own a 2007 Aveo 3 Door.

I recently got a driver's airbag light (my car doesn't come equipped with passenger airbag) and I think it's the crash sensor.

I consulted an online service manual and discovered that one sensor of the system (or the only one) is located in the engine bay, by the driver side. Has anyone replaced such sensor? how does it look like? When I look in my engine bay I see a piece that looks like a ceramic part, with two cables attached on either side. The piece looks shattered, but I don't really know if it's what I'm looking for.

Also, I had a mute horn, i fixed it by cleaning the contacts.

      Thanks for your help.

the best thing to do is have the Codes read by an advanced enough scan tool, so you are not wasting money by throwing parts at it. but GM DOES mark their Airbag Wiring (at least in the US they do) with bright yellow conduit. so under you hood, just look for Plastic tubing that is bright yellow.
