Radio Screen Issue

Good Morning ( 1044am my time)

Last night for some odd reason, when I turned on my 2011 Aveo, my radio screen was blank. But, all the other buttons and lights were on, and i could select stations and had full sound with no problem. First time it happened. So I got home, turned off the car, opened the gate to my house, then when I turned the car back on, the darn thing started up again. I know I read it somewhere that someone had a similar issue, but cannot remember the post or name. Im sorry if my post is repeated. I just wanted to know, has anyone had a similar problem or issue and how did they fix it?

So, from that thread, check the fuses, but to me it sounds like a poor/broken/shorted connection between the LCD and the circuit board, or somewhere on the board, so that would be inside the radio itself.

well took the car in. Dealer said No problems. Left dealer. Went to lunch, parked, turned on car and radio did it again... Headed back... they took the car. No problems again... Buying a new radio... Forget that. Now, who has a non factory radio and what brand(s) you recommend?

I've got the version before this one.

Bluetooth, all the installation pieces included (bracket, wiring harness, antenna adapter) and even instructions to help you.

The only thing even remotely 'tricky' about doing your install would be if you've never soddered the wiring before, or used the crimp style connectors. But both are super easy, which you can do on your kitchen table, just google a video of someone doing it if you've never done it before. It's pretty gratifying to swap out to an aftermarket stereo that you've done yourself.

You can't go wrong with any of the bigger names... Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Alpine, Sony.
